Who I Am?

Geek #1 Here:

Hi. My name is Rachelle and I have spent the last 20 years working in hotels, retail, food service and higher education. I’ve worked for both big names and local legends with equal enthusiasm and pride.

One thing I’ve consistently noticed is the number of people who are genuinely uncomfortable using their computer. They’ve Googled their way through enough to get by, but they really aren’t using it to its full potential. When I show them a tip or trick, they are just amazed.

I think it’s time to address the underlying issue…

People need a resource they can turn to for assistance. Someone who:

  1. Doesn’t make them feel bad for asking the question

  2. Is actually capable of explaining the answer

  3. Isn’t just reading a script…

This is where I come in. There are a lot of techies out there who speak geek fluently, but can’t do it in layman’s terms. I have years of experience in breaking things down so that it’s easier to process and am accustomed to watching people’s reactions to see if they’re really getting it or simply afraid to admit that you lost them at Step 2.

I’ve worked with everyone from high powered attorneys to high school students and construction workers to mid-level managers. When I say, I’ve got your back, I mean it.
